Jeonghye is a supporting character and later antagonist in True Beauty and one of the girls who regularly bullied Jugyeong during middle school.
Appearance[]
She is depicted with thick, long black hair and large eyes. In flashbacks and early chapters, she is shown with flatter brows and less makeup. In later episodes, her brows have more of an arch and her lips are tinted red.
Personality[]
Jeonghye seems to be demanding. She often puts her interests above others' and puts them down from behind a screen.
Background[]
In middle school, Jeonghye and her close friend, Min-Ah, would coerce Jugyeong into buying dumplings for them during break every day.[1]
It is later shown that she had trouble making friends through grade school and was friends with Jugyeong before they started high school. In a flashback, she is shown making friends with Min-Ah and beginning to bully Jugyeong for her looks.
Relationships[]
Jugyeong Lim[]
Jugyeong makes an effort to befriend her in flashbacks, and they end up each other's only friend. Later, after Jeonghye becomes friends with Min-Ah, she begins to bully Jugyeong with the rest of them and develops an irrational hatred toward Jugyeong for her looks.
After the time-skip, they meet again while working with the same management company and Jeonghye is initially nice. She is then increasingly mean, telling Jugyeong to stay out of her way and to not have their content overlap with each other. When she discovers that Jugyeong is the same from school, she threatens to leak her pictures and expose her bare face. She later leaves thousands of hate comments on Jugyeong's social media accounts and is sued by Jugyeong.
Min-Ah[]
She is shown making friends with Min-Ah in a flashback to high school. It is later shown that they have remained friends and still have dinner together. They seem to have stayed the same, keeping their cruel natures towards others' looks.
